The invention relates to a double cutting tool for the simultaneous edge processing of sheet metal blanks that are preferably to be laser welded and have differing thicknesses, using at least two parallel cutting blades (1, 2). According to the invention, the cutting blades have a two-dimensional cutting line on the plane of the sheet metal blanks and limbs (11a, 11b) that are arranged mirror-symmetrically about a line of symmetry (12).
