According to the invention, the electromechanical display device (4), which is used to reduce the depth on adjacent motor vehicle components (7, 12), is produced at least partially with light guides and/or light projectors, in order to be able to integrate said type of constructed combination instrument into the narrowly constructed area in the dashboard in the region of the steering wheel.
