The present invention relates to at least one implant consisting substantially of cortical bone, said implant comprising a canal surrounded by a continuous wall of cortical bone in the shape of a half circle, an half ellipse, or half asymmetrical shape, thereby forming an implant having a top face and a bottom face, either of which is substantially planar, with said planes being substantially parallel to each other.
