The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat comprising a seat frame, a back rest which is pivotably arranged on the seat frame and which can be folded in the direction of a seating surface of the seat frame; a longitudinal rail guide enabling the seat frame to move in a longitudinal rail direction (L) in order to adjust the longitudinal position of the seat, and a locking device (5) used to lock the longitudinal rail guide in a pre-set longitudinal seat position with the aid of at least one displaceably mounted locking element with an associated locking rail extending along a longitudinal rail direction (L) with a plurality of locking points which are successively arranged along the longitudinal direction of the rail (L), enabling the locking element to lock the longitudinal rail guide, by engagement therewith. The motor vehicle seat also comprises a coupling mechanism (7), which can move together with the seat frame in a longitudinal rail direction (L) and which can unlock the locking device (5) when the back rest is folded onto the seating surface; also comprising a memory device which is used to automatically maintain the seat frame in a predefinable longitudinal seat position defined as a memory position, when movement occurs in a longitudinal rail direction (L); further comprising means (1) for adjusting the memory device, enabling the memory position to be adjusted in a longitudinal rail direction (L), and a locking device of the memory device for locking in a set locking position. The motor vehicle seat is characterized in that the locking device for locking the memory device comprises a locking element (2) which can be engaged with at least one locking point of the locking rail associated with the locking device (5).
