The invention relates to a stacking tray for a falling flat object (1) comprising a top opening for admitting said object, a lateral stacking surface (2) for arranging and deposing one side of the object and a lower closure flap (3) for arranging and deposing the lower edge of the object. A lower holder (4) which is positioned in front of the side wall and is used for slowing down and damping the falling object prior to the contact thereof with the closure flap makes it possible to avoid the object rebound and rolling inside the stacking tray.
