The invention relates to a device (1) for producing sacks (4) of coated synthetic fabric, comprising conveyor means (7), wherein tubular pieces or sacks (4) can be transported transversely to the longitudinal axis (L) thereof in the direction of transport (x), further comprising devices for forming bottoms to the ends of the tubular pieces in order to form sacks. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device for sealing bottom sealing lids onto the bottoms of the sacks, wherein at least temperature control means are provided, such that heat can be applied to the bottoms and/or the bottom sealing lids, and wherein two rollers (2, 3) forming a nip are provided, pressing the bottom sealing lids and the bottoms (16) of the sacks (4) together. Behind the nip, viewed in the direction of transport (x), at least one displaceable deflecting means (11) is provided, with which certain sacks from the line of sacks (4) can be diverted. The deflecting means (11) is disposed in the direction of transport (x) at a distance (D) having at least the width (SB) of the produced sacks (4) from the nap.
