The present invention relates to a packaging machine with a labelling device which has a label dispenser (5) and a placement casing (4), the label dispenser providing labels and the placement casing applying the labels to packs (2), in the case of which, during operation of the packaging machine, the label dispenser is arranged in a stationary manner and the placement casing positions the labels above the packs, preferably in and counter to a running direction of the machine, and applies them.
