A barrier section which includes at least one connecting assembly at one or both ends of the barrier section. The connecting assembly has one or more connecting section(s) which configured to engage with the connecting section(s) on an adjacent section via a connecting device, allowing the barrier sections to have either: a fixed, or an at least partially pivotal relationship, with one another.
