The invention relates to an electric motor and a method for the production of an electric motor, comprising a rotor comprising at least one ring made of a permanent magnetic material, and a stator, particularly a stator rack, wherein alternating magnetic poles are pronounced in the circumferential direction, wherein the succession of the magnetic poles provided in the circumferential direction has an offset in a first axial region as opposed to the respective succession in a second axial region.
