Said element comprises at least one liquid channel or product area (9, 34, 34d, 47, 56) embodied in a housing (8, 33, 33d, 45, 55), said chamber or area can be connected to a reservoir (2, 32) for the product (3) and comprises a discharge opening (7, 35, 48, 57) for discharging the product (3) into a bottle that is to be filled or similar recipient (5). Said element also comprises at least one valve element (13, 13a, 13b, 36, 36d, 54, 59) that can be moved between at least two operational states for opening and closing the filling element (1, 1a - 1f) or a liquid valve (15, 15a, 15b, 38, 38d, 51, 62) formed by the valve element. Said filling element is characterised by means for keeping the valve seat (14, 37, 37d, 50, 61) free from solid components (4) contained in the product (3), when the liquid valve (15, 15a, 15b, 34, 34d, 51, 62) is in the closed state, said means moving together with the valve element (13, 13a, 13b, 36, 36d, 54, 59).
