The invention relates to a method for setting a control device (70), in which an adjustment of a control device parameter is carried out as a bypass (82, 118), wherein a control device parameter of the software of the control device (70) designed as an adjustment variable (93) is adjusted and at least one function, with which at least one signal (74, 76, 78, 80, 86, 90, 94, 96, 98) is taken into consideration, is written to an address region of the control device parameter.
