A cam disc (12) is provided connected to the drive shaft (7) in a rotationally fixed manner, the edge (13) of said cam disc deviating, at least in some areas, from a circular form and being subjected, at least at one circumferential position, to a force dependent on the rotational angle position of said cam disc (12) so as to produce an additional torque on the drive shaft (7) to support a drive torque of the drive. The drive torque and the additional torque together form the common torque. In addition, the invention relates to an exhaust gas turbocharger.
