摘要：
An assembly includes a die (60) and a punch (10a) which cut a hole in a workpiece. The die (60) has a base wall (62) having outer (70) and inner (72) surfaces and a passageway (66) extending therethrough, and a wall (64) extending from the base wall (62). The inner surface (72) of the base wall (62) has at least one portion which is angled relative to a central axis (68) of the die (60). The punch (10a) includes a body (12) having a bore (13) therethrough, a leading edge (29) on the body (12) which is capable of piercing and cutting a workpiece, and cutting edges (30c, 32c) on the body (12) for cutting a hole in the workpiece. The leading edge (29) has inclined surfaces (38a, 38b) between the bore (13) and the piercing points (P1, P2) which engage with the portion of the inner surface (72) of the die (60).
