There is provided an apparatus for processing consumer goods, particularly for manufacturing or packaging components of a tobacco product. The apparatus comprises spraying means for delivering flows of a mixture of gas and liquid into an operative region associated with the apparatus and sensor means for determining an environmental parameter in the operative region. Further, the apparatus comprises a control unit operatively connected to the spraying means and to the sensor means. The control unit is adapted to adjust the flow delivered by the spraying means in response to the environmental parameter determined by the sensor means in the operative region.
