The object of the present invention is a preparation for pluripotent very small embryonic/epiblast-like stem cells (VSELs) and hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells (HSPC) CD34+ mobilisation from bone marrow to peripheral blood, characterised in that it contains metformin, and the usage of metformin for pluripotent very small embryonic/epiblast-like stem cells (VSEL) and hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells (HSPC) CD34+ mobilisation from bone marrow to peripheral blood and for use in treatment or prevention of conditions associated with reduced regenerative potential or premature senescence of cells.
