A sample holder (5) comprises one or more elongated sample tubes (15). The one or more elongated sample tubes (15) are adapted for accommodating a plurality of samples (16) to be imaged at an imaging position (25). The imaging position (25) is defined by at least one illumination objective lens (20A, 20B) and at least one detection objective lens (30) of a microscope (100). A microscope (100) is disclosed, comprising at least one illumination objective lens (20A, 20B) and at least one detection objective lens (30), which define an imaging position (25). The microscope (100) further comprises a sample holder (5) for holding (225) a plurality of samples (16). The sample holder (5) is moveable with respect to the imaging position (25). A method for imaging (700) a plurality of samples (16) by means of the microscope (100) is disclosed.
