Various devices and methods are disclosed for the management of radio transmissions in a multi-device environment. In a first aspect of the disclosure, a primary device controls both a display and a baseband modem of one or more secondary devices. In a second aspect of the disclosure, a device with two baseband modems uses a wireless local area network transmission to send data to a cellular network. In a third aspect of the disclosure, a primary device dynamically performs one or more network scanning operations for one or more secondary devices.
