Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting furnace for gasifying refuse and an operation method for it, keeping stable operation by estimating a change in properties of refuse from variation of exhaust gas properties without a special device such as a gas analyzer.
SOLUTION: This melting furnace for gasifying refuse includes: a first means for measuring or calculating the quantiy of refuse supplied to the melting furnace per unit hour, an auxiliary fuel quantity for gasifying and melting the above quantity of refuse and the quantity of air and the quantity of oxygen supplied from the respective tuyeres; a second means for measuring or calculating the quantity of exhaust gas discharged from the melting furnace per unit hour and component contained in exhaust gas; and a third means for calculating the quantity of non-combustible refuse of the refuse supplied per unit hour. The variation in the quantity of water per unit hour of the gasified and melt refuge, the non-combustible quantity and the combustible quantity can be estimated by the first, second and third means.
