PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment which enhances the rigidity of a flat conductor while minimizing the height directional dimension of a connector body, and to provide a connector provided with the same. SOLUTION: The connector having a receiving portion 15 formed in a housing 11 to receive a connecting portion of a flat conductor F having a conductor portion arranged and formed at one end side thereof, a contact portion 22A to contact with the conductor portion, which has a plurality of terminals 20 aligned in the receiving portion 15, and a movable member 30 having a pressurization portion for pressing the flat conductor F inserted to the receiving portion 15 to the contact portion 22A includes the attachment for flat conductor. The attachment 40 has an attachment portion 45 to be attached to a predetermined position of the flat conductor F, and an insert portion 42 to be inserted to the housing 11 out of the arrangement range of the conductor portion, and both sides of a connection part are exposed in the arrangement range.
