PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a β-hydroxyalkylamide of a crosslinking agent soluble in an organic solvent and reacting with a carboxy group, to provide a resin composition comprising the organic solvent-soluble β-hydroxyalkylamide, to provide the cured product thereof, and to provide a production method of the organic solvent-soluble β-hydroxyalkylamide.SOLUTION: There is provided (B) a β-hydroxyalkylamide represented by general formula (1). (Wherein, X is an n-valent group composed from C, H, O, N, S, or halogen, and is an alicyclic hydrocarbon, branched aliphatic hydrocarbon or aromatic hydrocarbon group, wherein, the atom directly bonding with carbonyl in X is C; n is an integer of 2-6; and Rand Rrepresent each independently H or a substituent).
