PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent method for cultivating rice.SOLUTION: This method for cultivating rice, including a step in which an effective amount of clothianidin is applied to the rice seed kept in a wet condition after immersion treatment in water and a sowing step in which the seed after application of the chemical is sowed in a paddy field filled with water or with wetted soil, has an excellent effect.
