PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a novel hypervalent iodine compound in which in an oxidation reaction that uses a hypervalent iodine compound represented by diacetoxy iodobenzene, an unreacted hypervalent iodine compound and a by-product univalent iodine compound can be easily removed and recovered by an extraction operation.SOLUTION: A quaternary alkyl ammonium salt part is coupled with a hypervalent iodine compound to solve the problem. As a result, the unreacted hypervalent iodine compound and the by-product univalent iodine compound, both being generated after the completion of an oxidation reaction, can be removed and recovered by cleaning and the extraction operation.
