Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an olefin polymer, having a sufficiently high molecular weight and a low melting point even under the high temperature condition, at excellent polymerization activity. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the olefin polymer, an α-olefin is polymerized in the presence of a catalyst for olefin polymerization containing (A) a crosslinked metallocene compound represented by general formula (1) and (B) a compound such as (b-1) an organic aluminum oxy compound. In the formula (1), R 1 -R 12 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or the like, and at least one of R 1 and R 5 and at least one of R 8 and R 12 represent a hydrocarbon group, and R 13 and R 14 each independently represent an organic group represented by general formula (2).
