The display device includes a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel that are arranged adjacent to each other in a first direction and that represent a first color; a third sub-pixel and a fourth sub-pixel that are arranged adjacent to each other in the first direction and that represent a second color; a first drive electrode that overlaps the first sub-pixel and the second sub-pixel, and that extends in the first direction; and a second drive electrode that overlaps the third sub-pixel and the fourth sub-pixel, and that extends in the first direction, wherein, the first and second sub-pixels and the third and fourth sub-pixels are arranged adjacent to each other in a second direction different from the first direction, the first drive electrode and the second drive electrode are separated from each other with a slit interposed therebetween, and the slit extends in the first direction.
