A user who has a highest affinity score with respect to the series is selected from a plurality of users who have partially viewed the series. A notification indicative of the notifiable event pertaining to the series is generated. The notification comprising a reference to at least a portion of a video included in the series. The at least the portion of the video has not been previously viewed by the user.
