The electronic device includes a display, a sensor and at least one processor configured to display content on the display, detect rotation information of the electronic device upon detecting shape change information of the display through the sensor, determine control information based on the rotation information of the electronic device, generate additional content corresponding to the content based on the control information, and display the content and the additional content on different display areas of the display.
