The display apparatus includes a display panel; a light guide plate configured to guide light to the display panel and disposed behind the display panel; a light source configured to emit light to a lateral surface of the light guide plate; a diffusion plate disposed between the display panel and the light guide plate; and at least one support member configured to support the diffusion plate and disposed to pass through the light guide plate, wherein a light transmittance of a portion of the at least one support member at a side of the support member facing the light source is different from a light transmittance of a remaining portion of the at least one support member.
