Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may determine that a signal characteristic of a unicast signal is better than a signal characteristic of a broadcast signal; and/or transmit, based at least in part on the determination, a request for an update to a master information block or a minimum system information block to be provided to the user equipment using the unicast signal. In some aspects, a base station may determine that a signal characteristic of a unicast signal associated with a user equipment (UE) is better than a signal characteristic of a broadcast signal broadcasted by the base station; and/or transmit, based on the determination, an update to a master information block (MIB) or a minimum system information block (MSIB) to the UE using the unicast signal.
