One pixel includes four sub-pixels, and the display unit includes: a pixel including one each of four sub-pixels of four different colors that are a first color, a second color, a third color, and a fourth color; and a pixel including four sub-pixels, where two of the four sub-pixels are identical and are one of sub-pixels of the first color, the second color, and the third color, and remaining two of the four sub-pixels are different two of the sub-pixels of the first color, the second color, and the third color but are not one of the identical sub-pixels.
