A plurality of pixels are divided into a plurality of segments, the common electrodes are provided corresponding to the plurality of segments, and the detection circuit detects the waveform of the common potential at each of the common electrodes when a predetermined data signal is input to at least one of data signal lines whiled a predetermined gate signal is input to at least one of gate signal lines.
