An orientation sub includes a pair of connectors that consists of a first connector and a second connector with the first connector. A center section joins the first connector to the second connector. The second connector connects the orientation sub to a tool. The center section has a predetermined geometric configuration with that self-orients the tool when the orientation sub and the tool are inserted into a well defined by casing.
