Operations of a system can comprise facilitating a first configuration of a first group of flexible symbols and facilitating a second configuration of a first pattern defined for an uplink transmission. Further, the operations can comprise facilitating a third configuration of a second pattern defined for a downlink transmission and facilitating a fourth configuration of a second group of flexible symbols. Flexible symbols can be symbols within a slot that are not defined as uplink symbols or downlink symbols.
