The transmitter is configured to transmit of a transport block (TB) via a sidelink that is associated with a wireless communication protocol. The wireless communication protocol specifies that a first transport block size (TBS) associated with the TB is based on a first set of parameters. The transmitter is further configured to transmit sidelink control information (SCI) associated with the TB via the sidelink, and the SCI includes a TBS adjustment value associated with the first TBS.
