The method includes correlating, by an at least one electronic processor, a geographical location and existing tiered camera deployments with electronically stored indications of crime rates across a geographic area associated with a security agency. The method also includes generating, by the at least one electronic processor, at least one new proposed security camera deployment at at least a first proposed location in the geographic area associated with the security agency having a proposed tier selected from one of a plurality of tiers determined as a function of the correlating.
