Method and apparatus for determining motor faults in an electric assist steering system
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for determining a motor fault in an electric motor (50) determines a calculated rotor position (nullcalc) of the electric motor. The calculated rotor position (nullcalc) is compared to a measured rotor position (nullmeas) of the electric motor (50) to determine a rotor position error (nullerr). A motor fault in the electric motor (50) is determined when the rotor position error (nullerr) exceeds a predetermined maximum rotor position error (nullerrnullmax).

用于确定电动机（50）中的电动机故障的方法和装置确定计算出的电动机的转子位置（转速）。 将计算出的转子位置（电压）与电动机（50）的测量转子位置（thetameas）进行比较，以确定转子位置误差（θerr）。 当转子位置误差（θerr）超过预定的最大转子位置误差（θerr-max）时，确定电动机（50）中的电动机故障。
