According to the invention, at least one additional layer is radially internal to the working crown layers, said additional layer having an axial width greater than the width of the axially widest working crown layer and the reinforcement elements of said additional layer being metallic reinforcement elements having a secant modulus at 0.7% elongation of between 10 and 120 GPa and a maximum tangent modulus of less than 150 GPa.
