The image forming apparatus includes a single drive source, at least four photosensitive drums, a plurality of drum drive gears which are provided to correspond to the photosensitive drums, and a plurality of intermediate gears which are interposed between the drive source and each of the drum drive gears. A number of the intermediate gears provided for each of the photosensitive drums is same.
