It is an object of the present invention to provide a resin composition which is excellent in flame retardancy and heat resistance and comprises a flame retardant containing no halogen.The present invention is a resin composition comprising 100 parts by weight of an aromatic polycarbonate resin (component A), 0.001 to 8 parts by weight of a flame retardant (component B) and 0.01 to 6 parts by weight of a fluorine-containing dripping inhibitor (component C), whereinthe flame retardant (component B) is obtained by introducing a sulfonic acid group and/or a sulfonic acid base into an aromatic polymer in an amount of 0.1 to 2.5 wt % in terms of sulfur.
