Polyalkylene oxide derivates of the formula (I), in which the symbols and indices have the following meanings: Ra is a C8-C30-hydrocarbon radical; Rb is a C8-C30-hydrocarbon radical, such as C8-C30-alkyl, C8-C30-alkenyl, C8-C30-alkynyl; a is 0 or 1; b is 0 or 1; c is 0 or 1 and A is one or more alkylene oxide units. Compounds of the present invention are suitable for promoting the penetration of insecticidal active substances into plants.
