The printing press includes a print unit printing a plurality of printed products, the plurality of printed products being formed into a stream downstream of the print unit. The printing press also includes at least one base and a press component, the press component is mounted onto the at least one base for placement in the stream and translational movement transverse to the stream. The press component may be a pitch changing apparatus. A method is also provided.
