An ink composition includes from about 2 wt % to about 5 wt % of a colorant; from about 10 wt % to about 20 wt % of co-solvent; from about 0.5 wt % to about 1.0 wt % of an alkyl phosphate ester; from about 0.5 wt % to about 9 wt % of any of methyl gluceth-10, methyl gluceth-20, PPG-10 methyl glucose ether, or PPG-20 methyl glucose ether; and a balance of water.
