The image processing apparatus includes an image processing apparatus screen transition processor to perform transition of screen on the image processing apparatus in accordance with receiving the operational information. The display controller acquires status on transitioning screen of the image processing apparatus in accordance with the user operation instructing to transition to a home screen as a starting point of the user operation and gets the screen displayed on the display back to status before the transition if the screen on the image processing apparatus is untransitionable.
