The first substrate includes a pixel electrode having a contact portion and a main pixel electrode extending in a second direction from the contact portion so as to form one end opposite to the contact portion. The second substrate includes a pair of main common electrodes arranged on both sides sandwiching the main pixel electrode and extending in the second direction. The width of the contact portion in a first direction orthogonally crossing the second direction is larger than the width of the main pixel electrode in the first direction. The main common electrode includes a convex portion provided in a position more apart from the contact portion than the one end of the main pixel electrode and protruding in the first direction.
