Described herein are oral care compositions comprising a whitening agent having the formula: R1—O—O—R2; and an aliphatic ketone; wherein R1 and R2 are independently selected from hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl, C2-C6 carbonyl, SO3, and phenyl; and methods of making and using the same.
