The social media personalized user data (including user chatter and other personalized data) and/or non-personalized data and/or other data that may not even be associated with social media are employed as indicators to segment the user population into test populations for the purpose of administering the online test promotions and/or to segment the user responses to gain insights. The test promotions are administered via the social media platform. The insights are then employed to create generalized public promotions for administering to the greater public.
