A medical device for manipulating a portion of tissue. The device may have one or more opposing jaws. One of the jaws may be configured to be placed between the portion of tissue and an underlying portion of tissue, and have an orifice configured to direct a fluid towards a surface of the other jaw so as to move the portion of tissue towards the said other jaw. A fluid delivery channel may extend between the orifice and a fluid source. A switch may be operable to flow the fluid from the source, through the channel, and out of the orifice.
