Abstract: An aspiration catheter assembly including an outer catheter having an elongate tubular body and a distal valve at a distal end of the aspiration catheter assembly, and an inner catheter configured to communicate with a vacuum source, the inner catheter being within the outer catheter and including an aspiration lumen for receiving at least a portion of a clot. The distal valve is configured to be opened and closed at the distal end of the aspiration catheter assembly, and the distal end of the aspiration catheter assembly is configured as a separator such that the portion of the clot can be separated at the distal end and drawn into the aspiration catheter assembly.

The system includes connection tubing coupled to the aspiration catheter and configured to act as a common conduit for fluid communication. The system further includes controllable valves operable to control a level of pressure, and pressure sensors positioned downstream from the distal end of the aspiration catheter. A controller is configured to detect and identify pressure levels associated with an open flow state of the aspiration thrombectomy system, and to determine a vascular pressure level of the patient.

Abstract: A tissue resection system and a method for determining a cutting parameter, the method comprising the following steps: acquiring a three-dimensional ultrasonic image of a target tissue; slicing the three-dimensional ultrasonic image to form a series of two-dimensional slice images, according to a preset step size; determining contour information the two-dimensional slice images; and calculating a cutting parameter on the basis of the determined contour information comprising contour information of an ablation tool and contour information of the target tissue, the cutting parameter comprising at least one of: a cutting position parameter (L), a cutting depth parameter (R), and a cutting angle parameter (β). Therefore, a cutting parameter can be calculated more efficiently, and a more reasonable and larger cutting range can be planned more precisely, thus resection efficiency, the resection area, and safety are all achieved.

Abstract: Thrombectomy catheter and high-pressure protection systems for protecting a catheter shaft from high-pressure fluid jets. Abstract: A method is provided for treating a gland or duct of a patient. In a particular embodiment, an obstruction in a gland or duct and the orifice thereof can be alleviated; in another, a substance can be injected thereinto; in yet another, the gland can be aspirated. The method includes the step of inserting an elongated probe into a gland or duct via an orifice thereinto. In some embodiments the probe can have a longitudinal lumen therethrough, with at least one distal hole through the probe wall in fluid communication with the lumen. The lumen can be used in concert with a source of suction for removing debris from the gland or duct, and/or with a source of a fluid and pumping means, for injecting a substance into the gland or duct.
