The control section performs control to transmit data to another device that can receive data from a device of a data transmission source without transmitting thereto notification information indicating that the other device can receive the data upon transition from a function pause state to a data receivable state. In this case, if the other device is determined to be in the data receivable state, the control section of the information processing device performs control to transmit the data to the other device without receiving the notification information therefrom. Power consumption can thereby be reduced.
