A method of operating a sensor and/or information system which includes at least one main device, in particular a smart device, and at least one secondary device, the method including setting up a wireless communication connection between one of the at least one main device and one of the at least one secondary device using a setup identifier, and discarding the used setup identifier by the secondary device and/or by the main device upon or after termination of the communication connection.
