One embodiment provides a method, including: identifying, using at least one sensor, that a position of a microphone attached to a headset is associated with an audible input position; determining, using a processor, that the position is not associated with an optimal audible input position; and notifying, responsive to the determining, a user that the position is not associated with the optimal audible input position.
